South Carolina is currently 2-4 on the season where they have lost 4 of their last 5 games. Did Spurrier quick on his team in the middle of the season or was this the right move to make.

"First of all, I'm resigning and not retiring," Spurrier said Tuesday. "I doubt if I'll ever be a head coach again ... but don't say I've retired completely. Who knows what will come in the future?

5 Things I would like to see from this program as we go into the 2nd half

Here are my five things I would like to see from the football program as we go into the 2nd half of the season:

  1. A healthy Ahmad Bradshaw at QB. I believe he has the potential to be for us, what Reynolds has been for Navy.
  2. Continue to recruit more speed at the skilled position, because it is so lacking right now.
  3. On the field leadership from 1 or 2 players and not just because you were voted as team captain. Swagger is missing big time and that has to happen for this team to have character.
  4. Continued maturity of this year’s freshman class like Brinson, Drue Harris, Brandon Jackson, Gibson, Davidson, Holt, Kurz and Nieves.
  5. Develop depth and talent and that’s on the coaching staff.

GBK Recruiting Update: Saturday’s game to attract key prospects

As mentioned in our recruiting article (Click Here) today, several key prospects will be on hand as Army host Duke.

However, there are some new names to add to the list and we will continue to do so in this thread up until game time.

Committed RB and speedster, Stefone Moore-Green is scheduled to be on campus.

RB, Stefone Moore-Green

A very hot commodity is RB Sean Samuels out of NJ, who holds an offer from both Army & Navy. Although he doesn’t presently have a star ranking by Rivals, he is the real deal. As it stands now, he is slightly leaning towards Navy, so having him on campus on Saturday in a sold out Michie Stadium and a solid showing by the Black Knights could bold well for the Army coaching staff.

Another NJ prospect, who has held an offer from Army for sometime is CB, Tyrone Hill out of Don Bosco. The bad news is that Hill is a Maryland commit, the good news is that the Terps are said to ready to fire head coach Randy Edsall. There is hope that Hill, who was on campus during Junior Day, will make his way back to West Point and hopefully on Saturday.
