I didn't know where else to post this. I was in Tampa this week for college hockey's Frozen Four. While there, I had an opportunity to attend the Hobey Baker award ceremony, which is basically the Heisman of college hockey. There are a few other awards given out too. One of the most meaningful is the Derek Hines Unsung Hero award. It is named for a former Army Hockey player who was killed in the line of duty. It is given annually to the player who best exemplifies character, intelligence and work ethic.

Noah Wilson from Army won it this year. He was at the Hobey ceremony, in uniform, with Coach Riley. I had the chance to speak with both of them. We were surrounded by players from Michigan, Minnesota, etc who were going to sign NHL contracts shortly. Meanwhile, Noah was focused on graduation, commissioning, and his first duty assignment as a field artillery officer. Coach Riley was as humble and gracious as ever. I also talked to Noah's brother, a former Army hockey player who is serving at Fort Riley.

These guys all made me so proud to be a West Point graduate! Congrats to Noah!

May be it is just me and welcome others to weigh in. But where I am sitting, I am not surprised but yet amazed that there is debate about the so-called hush money payment to adult film person Stormy Daniels and that is the main topic surrounding this event versus the fact that he had an affair with this individual.

It is currently on right now and two segments are showing. I believe that Andre Carter will be featured in one of the segments.

I have been told by a reliable source that head coach Ken Niumatalolo has stepped away and will not be returning as the Navy head coach in 2023. I am sure more will come out from the media that covers the Naval Academy and Navy Football.

I truly don't know when it started, but I am personally offended when the media that covers Army football start calling Coach Monken, Jeff!

GBK doesn't do that but a couple of others do.
