As we all know, the 2016 Army football season is just around the corner and the Black Knights are now down to fine-tuning their mechanics, as well as qualifying their two-deep on both offense and defense.
Starting early next week, we will begin to discuss in detail the personnel on both sides of the ball as the team prepares for their season opener on September 2nd versus Temple University.
But, if the Black Knights-Owls game were to be played today or tomorrow, here’s who we project starting on Army’s 3-4 defense.
Secondary:
Cornerbacks: Brandon Jackson (Soph.) and Steven Johnson (Sr.) or Marcus Hyatt (Soph.)
Safeties: Xavier Moss (Sr.) and Rhyan England (Jr.)
Linebackers:
Inside Linebackers: Andrew King (Sr.) and Jeremy Timpf (Sr.)
Outside Linebackers: Alex Aukerman (Jr.) and Kenneth Brinson (Soph.)
Brinson can/will also line up as the Rush DE.
Defensive Line:
End: John Voit (Jr.)
Nose Guard: Andrew McLean (Jr.) or Raymond Wright (Soph.)
Tackle: Jordan Smith (Sr.) or Eddy Ruzga (Sr.)
NOTABLES: The Army Black Knights will resume practice today @ 4:30pm and then a 10:00am scrimmage on Saturday.
