GBK: Steelman evening update (7/31)

Although one has nothing to do with the other, but we were just told that Ozzie and Vincent Newsome (Director of Players Personnel) loved the GBK articles on Trent, who is leaving this evening and flying into BWI to sign with the Ravens tomorrow (8/1).

The Ravens training camp is in Owings Mills, MD, which is outside Baltimore and Trent will be participating tomorrow morning ... first thing.

The thing I like about Neely is those 2221yards passing with 22 Tds I for one think that Army must have a more balanced attack which includes an efficient Ariel attack Monken while atGaSouthern went into the swamp and beat the Gators without throwing a pass.However I don't think you can consistently win without a potent air attack I am hopeful well see improvement in this area this year.

King & Whitaker - the future!

I was at last Saturday’s camp and both Joseph King and Collin Whitaker looked really good at cornerback and stood out amongst everyone else. Obviously, this was pointed out by GBK and their coverage of the camp.

The good news is two fold if you ask me. First, King has already committed, so that is awesome and my guess that Whitaker will be on board, hopefully sooner than later.

GBK Recruiting Update: Army adds speedster & perhaps one more!

Speedster Dominic Distefano made it official yesterday when he said yes to Army West Point. We will have more on his commitment early this afternoon. But as GBK Publisher Charles Grevious said, who witnessed Distefano at the June 27th camp …. “the young man is a legitimate speedster.”

Also, stay tuned for our upcoming article this morning on QB Miller Mosley, who could also become part of the 2016 recruiting class.

Army West Point is set to welcome to their incoming class to the USMAPS, as head coach Jeff Monken and his staff continue to build a pipeline of talent for the Black Knights football

In addition to the incoming prep class, there are few recruits on campus today for their unofficial visit. OLB Ryan Gilmartin is one and we will have more on Rivals 2-star prospect's visit later today.

GBK: Steelman & Dixon update

Our sources today shared with us an update on Trent Steelman and Larry Dixon.

According to sources, Trent and Larry have been invited to the USA Football team for the International World Event that will take place July 7th-22nd in Akron, Ohio. We were told that training camp for the event starts June 28th and that they are part of the 45-man roster.

I must admit, I have never heard of this event, but according to our source, this happens every four years and the last time it was in Austria in 2011.

The source believes that this will be a bonus review for Steelman and Dixon in front of TV cameras and scouts and the team consist of players out of college, but not on a NFL or CFL team
