GBK: What will this official weekend bring?

If you ask Army commit and Rivals 3-star safety James Gibson, it will be solid recruiting weekend for the Black Knights.

"We should get him Chris [Shelling) and a lot of new commits tonight or tomorrow" said Gibson. "Also, William James as well."

Of course, GBK will have you right in the mix of it all with updates and photos, so keep it right here.

Historical precedent for optimism?

In trolling back through the results of the last 10 years, looking for a few glimmers of hope, this is all I could find:
1. A 4 game winning streak in 2005: Akron, AF, UMASS, Ark State
2. The 2010 7-6 Bowl year which would have been even more magical if we had beaten Rutgers and/or Hawaii, which were 2 games that I still haven't gotten over or figured out how we lost.
Other than that, unless you want to count a few quality wins or close games vs Power Conf schools like Texas AM, there isnt much to hang our hat on.

Upcoming on GBK!

We are rapping up our GBK Crystal Ball - 2015 Series, with our offensive line projections on the front page first thing tomorrow morning. This will be followed by our wide receiver/tight-end segment. Then we will update our "winter/pre-spring" depth-chart.

As you can see through our Crystal Ball Series, Army will have some holes to fill both offensively and defensively.

Obviously, once we hit spring ball and then summer practice, the depth chart will see plenty of activity, but for now this is a great time to see what is out there in terms of player personnel and much to discuss amongst the Army fan base, even now.

We need to recruit more SPEED !!!

Watching the bowl games the past several days and especially the two playoff games. It is very clear that Coach Monken and the staff need to recruit SPEED[/B]. I was watching some of games we played this year and I was amazed at how a player like Ryan England, would have an angle on a player and still could not catch him. The same existed at OLB with guys like Ricciardi, although he is a senior and won't be back.

Even at slotback, we need speed.

I'm not just talking about the skilled positions, but across the board.

Well Damn!!!

Very interesting article today on our future QBs.... after reading it left me scratching my head in disbelief... AJ will be out til string due to shoulder surgery.... (Understandable) Shaw? ???? And the other names that was mentioned never heard of them. Nevertheless let's go 2015 season. I have confidence in this staff to make it happen... May the Angels from Neptune be on our side.....

Army/Navy Game 15 Yr Rating High

Didn't see anything about this posted...

"The Army-Navy game may have ended with the same team on top for the 13th straight year, but TV ratings show a one-sided rivalry hasn't hurt viewer interest a bit.

The Black Knights' 17-10 loss to the Midshipmen in Baltimore on Saturday drew a 4.5 rating and a 10 share in Nielsen metered markets, the highest rating in 15 years, according to a CBS Sports tweet. It bested last year's 4.2/9 metered-market rating, which had been the best since 1999..." More on link
