Wondering if this close win against Bucknell will have more of a carry-over effect than the big win vs. EM. While we played PSU tough, it seems that was when we got really sloppy as a team.

I get Bucknell is not a great team and we should have won handily. But, I also think this is a game we would have found a way to lose a couple of years ago.

Guess we will find out vs Rice.

Would also have to check the stats, but I think we seem to be a better Q3/Q4 team than in past years. If so, is that an indicator of bigger, faster, stronger?

South Carolina is currently 2-4 on the season where they have lost 4 of their last 5 games. Did Spurrier quick on his team in the middle of the season or was this the right move to make.

Marrero (La.) John Ehret LB Robert Green was offered by Colorado earlier this week. He says he committed to Army a few weeks back. He plans to visit Army at the end of October and he plans to take an official visit to Colorado in December with several of his teammates who were also offered by Colorado.

Lots of comments on board about passing more to open up the option game. Watching Army and also Navy against ND it seems to me that the o-lines just can't pass block effectively. This means passing on rollouts etc. As such, just don't think we could materially increase the number of effective pass attempts per game.

Would like to hear some other thoughts.

I sincerely hope I get this one right or we are in bigger trouble than I though.

Here are my five things I would like to see from the football program as we go into the 2nd half of the season:

1. A healthy Ahmad Bradshaw at QB. I believe he has the potential to be for us, what Reynolds has been for Navy.
2. Continue to recruit more speed at the skilled position, because it is so lacking right now.
3. On the field leadership from 1 or 2 players and not just because you were voted as team captain. Swagger is missing big time and that has to happen for this team to have character.
4. Continued maturity of this year’s freshman class like Brinson, Drue Harris, Brandon Jackson, Gibson, Davidson, Holt, Kurz and Nieves.
5. Develop depth and talent and that’s on the coaching staff.

Never should have been let go as our OC and although I doubt that he would come back to coach here, especially as our offensive coordinator, I would welcome him back with open arms, along with CB coach, Tony Coaxum. Our cornerback play has regressed as well.

USMAPS won their game today against Milford Academy 48-21. Milford was undefeated and beating teams pretty easily, great win for Prep.
