You ever see him in a discussion with people on college campuses? He mops the floor with them all in a debate. College credentials are not necessarily an indicator of intelligence. Love his ideas/politics or hate them, the guy is very smart.

He might be smart as you see it, but he's a pig IMO if he values a person worth and qualifications based on skin color.

I agree with you 100 percent. Anybody who puts a value on people that way is a pig. That would be a ridiculous take. But he is not saying that. Not at all. If you understand the context of his quote... he said it while talking about DEI and affirmative action programs. His argument is that if you lower standards to fulfill some sort of gender, racial or whatever distribution, then that will always make people wonder if every person in that role is qualified.

I didn’t speak on the West Point club situation before but more and more it has me seething. See the below screen shots… notice something interesting.

Essentially all the Eurocentric clubs are allowed to stay. Only those focused on minorities and women were eliminated.
The Colonel who issued the memo now claims that they were always going to be reestablished but that is not what the memo said at all.

IMO, this was NEVER about meritocracy it was about eliminating access to support for certain groups.

Serious question... aren't those things listed as "still okay" limited to language clubs? Essentially academic clubs open to any person? I highly doubt there is a "Polish Club," whose members are cadets with Polish ancestry. Maybe there is, and if so, then this is indeed messed up. Is there an Arabic Language Club or something like that? Is there a Korean Language Club? I really don't know but that would surely be an apples/apples comparison. If they eliminated the Korean language club but kept the German Language club, then yeah... that would raise huge red flags. It seems like they simply eliminated any club that was somehow under the DEI banner, without giving context or a lot of thought. My guess is that this will be further explained, adjusted, etc. Guess we'll find out.
