Credit to KnightKnight for emailing me the link to this article. This is still at the rumor stage--there were no network spokespeople cited in the article. But if influential talking heads, such as Paul Finebaum and Joel Klatt are saying it, likely the network execs are considering it.

IMO, it's only a matter of time before the college football playoff milieu drives the Army-Navy game into the meat of the regular season and has it count for the AAC standing.

Rather than fighting it, the academies should figure out the most advantageous timing and circumstances for implementing a change.
