2015 Football Promotional Schedule Announced

WEST POINT, N.Y. – A host of recognitions, promotions and special events are planned for the 2015 Army West Point football season, including a celebration of the 125 years of football at West Point.

The Black Knights will host six games at historic Michie Stadium in 2015 with each kickoff set for noon with the exception of the season opener against Fordham, which will start at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4.

Army West Point will welcome Fordham (Sept. 4), Wake Forest (Sept. 19), Duke (Oct. 10), Bucknell (Oct. 17), Tulane (Nov. 14) and Rutgers (Nov. 21) to Michie Stadium for the second season of head coach Jeff Monken’s tenure.

Friday, Sept. 4 vs. Fordham
  • Salute to Heroes Day: All first responders may purchase tickets for just $20. Tickets available beginning July 21. Contact the Army West Point Athletic Ticket Office at 1-877-TIX-ARMY for this special offer.
  • Fireworks: West Point Band will perform at halftime accompanied by fireworks.
Saturday, Sept. 19 vs. Wake Forest
  • Hall of Fame Weekend: Join us as we honor the 2015 inductees selected into the Army Sports Hall of Fame including: football and track and field standout Mike Fahnestock, men's basketball star Bill Hannon, men's lacrosse extraordinaire James Hartinger, women's basketball letterwinner and former administrator Kim Kawamoto, football All-Americans Frank Merritt and Casimir Myslinski, hockey and men's soccer's Michael Palone, coach Jack Ryan and national champion Don Tillar comprise the Class of 2015.
  • Army Strong Day: Allactive and former members of the U.S. Army may purchase tickets at $20 each. Tickets are available beginning July 21. Contact the Army West Point Ticket office at 1-877-TIX-ARMY for this special offer.
  • Branch Week: In conjunction with the Corps of Cadets’ Branch Week, there will be several hundred tons of military equipment, vehicles and weapons near the Plain for the Academy's spin on a college career fair. The Wake Forest game falls at the end of a week-long event that gives the opportunity for the Corps of Cadets to learn about various career fields. Fans will see tanks, attack helicopters and armored vehicles during the Cadet Review beginning at 9:00am, as well as have the opportunity to take a walk and see this military hardware up close.

Saturday, Oct. 10 vs. Duke
  • Scout Day: $25 tickets will be offered to all scouts and families. Admission includes a scout patch and cadet-led walking tour. Contact the Army group sales office at 845-446-2375 or email odiamktg@usma.edu to setup your Scout Day experience.
  • Band Day:Several youth bands from the tri-state area will perform with the West Point band at halftime. Limited space remains. Contact the Army group sales office at 845-446-2375 or email odiamktg@usma.edu to setup your Band Day experience.
  • Parents Weekend: Several activities specifically for cadet parents, families and graduates will be available during the weekend of October 9-11. For more information, visit westpoint.edu/parents.

Saturday, Oct. 17 vs. Bucknell

· 125 Years of Army Football Celebration:This year, Army West Point celebrates 125 years of football dating back to 1890. A number of recognitions surround the 2015 season including a special 125 logo, feature stories and videos at GoArmyWestPoint.com. Special game program coverage, social media posts and on-field presentations, are also part of the milestone season. The season-long celebration of the anniversary will culminate at the Army West Point-Bucknell game on October 17 in conjunction with Homecoming.   • Homecoming: Army West Point Athletics welcomes back West Point graduates for one of the most scenic games of the season.

Saturday, Nov. 14 vs. Tulane
