I saw this on someone's post on Facebook and I couldn't have said it better

Trump fires Secretary of Defense Mark Esper (West Point Class of 1986)

"If any of us had any questions remaining about the President’s character, today’s action should be the final nail in the coffin. I know it’s “politics” but Mark Esper is a class act and today’s firing is all the proof I need that the country is in much better hands under President Elect Biden. For the record I’m not a bleeding heart liberal and more of my beliefs align with the Republican platform but at some point character and decency have to prevail."

Glad to see him gone - should have been fired weeks ago. Esper and others in the Army pretty much lent their support to the mayhem taking place in DC and other cities. Over 50 Secret Service agents were injured in riots, and the president had to be bunkered. Quite naturally the president and others spoke of military possibly being used to quell the dangerous situation and the military/DOD people could not publicly state their opposition to president fast enough. I'm sure the mobs took a lot of satisfaction from that.

Its been clear awhile that the "protests" aren't protests at all, but coordinated militant activity that had been present for several years before the Floyd excuse they used to escalate. Rutgers research used the term "insurgency" and that's obviously what it is.

Not the Army's finest moment sad to say.

"NETWORK-ENABLED ANARCHY: How Militant Anarcho-Socialist Networks Use Social Media to Instigate Widespread Violence Against Political Opponents and Law Enforcement"

A qualitative investigation on Reddit revealed evidence of a network of interconnected subcultural forums, several with attached, private chat groups, which broadcast socialist, anarchist, and/or communist leanings, and evince themes like demonization and dehumanization of police and political opponents as well as violent insurgency...

A recent tactical assessment report amassed from across the nation by the NYPD intelligence and counter terrorism bureaus [34] as well as episodes reported in mainstream media during the recent riots reveal a sober picture of an ongoing low grade insurgency with targeted, ideological attacks by anti-government extremists. These attacks appear to mirror many of the anarcho-socialist memes and tactics the report details above:•Rioters barricaded and attempted to burn down a police precinct....

😂🤣😅

The oath calls for defense of the Constitution against enemies "foreign and domestic." Right now there is an in-your-face domestic insurgency against the Constitution (this week the perps are cheering Milley). National Guard oath (among others) also demands obedience to the CIC. Its kind of bizarre that anyone in the military can try to divorce the Constitution from the leaders appointed by Constitution - especially since organized paramilitary groups hostile to the Constitution have been ruling in 48 of 50 most populous cities in US. Esper not only rejected the president, he surreptitiously removed all NG ammo from DC. Should have been fired them

Officers of the National Guard of the various States, however, take an additional oath:

I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State (Commonwealth, District, Territory) of ___ against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the Governor of the State (Commonwealth, District, Territory) of ___, that I make this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion, and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the Office of [grade] in the Army/Air National Guard of the State (Commonwealth, District, Territory) of ___ on which I am about to enter, so help me God.[3]
