I know that one day Coach Monken will no longer be coaching at West Point, that is just the nature of the beast when it comes to college football.

However, I hope that the legacy that he has built here, along with the foundation of who and what the Army Black Knights have become will never follow the huge slide by Rutgers post Greg Schiano that is noted in this article.

Unfortunately, the program went down big time after Schiano and the departure of the Big East. Chris Ash from Ohio State is currently the HC and if they don't win this year, he will be gone and then they will starting all over again, which means another 4-5 years of rebuilding.

Ash hasn’t done much rebuilding down here. Frankly, the majority of Rutgers fan want him gone. We can only hope.

Hopefully the Scarlet Knights can turn it around, which is never easy. Today's top recruits want to play for a program that is already established, has a great brand and notable head coach. Of course, some prospects will take that step of faith and perhaps that is what Rutgers needs.
