I streamed the match on Stadium. Worst announcers ever. Think Donovan McNabb doing Army football x 10. Army won 15-15 and won 29-26 on Criteria C (most match points scored). It was a super close match with most bouts decided in the waning seconds. We would have won outright 16-15 but the refs deducted a point from Coach Ward for unsportsmanlike conduct. It was some home cooking BS.
Noah Stewart saved the day at 184 with a major decision that tied the match and ended up being the difference in the tiebreaker.
It wasn’t our best outing and we looked really bad on our feet and on top. We have work to do before EIWAs in two weeks. Our best wrestler, #10 Markus Hartman (So) sat out at 157 but Sr. Luke Weiland got a 4-0 win.
#17 Ben Harvey lost a heartbreaker on the buzzer 3–1 to Spencer Carey. HWT #20 Ben Sullivan tied the match with a 1-0 win.
