I enjoyed the article, but would like clarification on the "3-3-4" scheme referred to repeatedly in the article?

Where is the 11th man?

Admittedly - I have no idea what Monken/ Bateman's D looks like... 4-3-4, 3-4-4, 3-3-5? Some other hybrid?
