March 20th was the official day for Spring and that means plenty of Army football activity. This also means that GBK will bring the Army fan base up close and personal.
- Actually, A.M. Allan has been ahead of the action, because you folks are receiving 2-3 recruiting updates per day, especially as it relates to the 2023 prospects. That will continue, but as the upcoming Junior Days roll in, there will be greater clarity with regard to the interest level of prospects who will make their way onto the grounds of West Point.
- We are not completely sure if the Army coaching staff will be hosting any camps this summer, so at this point, we will say "tentatively". But the summer camp venue is big for the Power Five teams. They will evaluate each recruit they are seriously considering and will make a decision then. As you can see from the various GBK recruiting articles, there are tons of Rivals 3-Star recruits who hold Army offers. This means that there is plenty of competition for their talents. The recruits have to prioritize their time and always put Power Five scores at the top of the food chain. If a Power Five offers them there is a high % chance that’s where they go. But the vibe is beginning to change within the Army coaching ranks, whereby they are willing to go head to head with Power 5 offered recruits and let the Black Knights' football success, as well as West Point the institution, speak for itself. Having several former Black Knights in the NFL doesn't hurt either.
- Another springtime event is tomorrow's (3/22) Pro-Day. We will have a list of participants forthcoming, along with other associated items to bring to the GBK site.
- Then of course have the kickoff of the Black Knights' Spring practices.
