Not only did the football team pull off a solid win on Saturday, bus so did Army Head Basketball Coach, Zach Spiker, who received the verbal commitment during halftime of Army's 55-0 over Fordham.

GBK will have more tomorrow morning on three newest members of the basketball squads 2012 recruiting class. Not to mention there is a 4th who is also on the verge of saying yes to the Black Knights.

Keep right here on GBK for all your Army recruiting information.

That has to be among the biggst days in BB recruiting in decades. Are they prep bound , direct or mixed between the two ? Army will be relatively yound again this season. Schedule is among the softest in the country. Let's focus on a .500 season as the goal and at least 5 wins in conference.

Thanks AM - Expect some big growth from this year's yearlings. Still not easy to find a way to 7 wins in the Patriot League from this viewer's perspective. Air Force next week is by a pretty wide measure our toughest non-conference game, especially given the Colorado Springs tipoff location.

Game One in the books - VERY VERY Young, Rebounding and inside presence , as always, will be challenging issues. Team is quite quick, will play hard and the nights the 3's are falling, will be capable of pulling off surprises. Likewise, when not falling and getting into foul trouble, they can lose to teams with less talent just as easily. Propensity to foul will not only place key players in foul trouble ( though I expect a legit 10 player rotation by league play time) but even more important, Army's greatest atribute - up tempo, will be negated with too many slow downs in flow due to high foul counts.

Finally, must stay in the 12-16 turnover count to remain competitive, Last night in the mid-20's was an important driver on final double digit loss outcome..
