Crews out as coach

The Middletown Times-Record just posted online(recordonline.com)that Jim Crews is no longer the Army basketball coach. What is going on?

AD said that he was disappointed to learn about several negative things that happened recently that were associated with the program and that lead him to believe he had to terminate his contract immediately. Anybody know what it was? Must have been serious to necessitate firing your coach the week before pre-season workouts start.

Everyone I know associated with the athletic department has been mum on specifics but I know there was some serious thoughts on what to do with men's basketball team as early as a week ago. I think they decided to pull the trigger sometime on Monday. This team has more potential for success than any I have seen in 20 years. Just not a good situation for anyone at this time. I am worried for the present and future for the basketball program after arguably being a bottom 10 team ( out of 330 +) for the better part of a decade.
