It's been a month since chemo and stem cell transplant and I can report that I'm recovering, albeit slowly. Back in October many of you sent me well wishes and prayers through this forum. I can't express enough how much I appreciated that. Since the transplant our Army team has played and won four games. Thankfully I've been able to watch all of them, including the SJ State game while I was still hospitalized.
This team has been an inspiration for me during recovery. The grit with which they play and the brotherhood for whom they play is unmatched. Their "don't flinch" mentality inspires me to do the same as I fight to get my health back on track. Winning is great. Believe me, I know that after sitting in the cold through 8 straight A/N games from 2003 to 2010. But beyond winning, this team/program exemplifies everything that is good about college sports. I'm looking forward to more wins and a great bowl game bid. Go Army! Beat Navy!
