The Black Knights got their first sweep of the season by spanking Lafayette in Easton, PA. Building a 31 point lead in the 2nd half, Army took its foot off the gas a bit to win by 17, 85-68. Just like their earlier meeting, the Black Knight totally dominated the Leopards, taking them totally out of their screen and shoot offense.

Next up is "payback weekend" against Navy in Annapolis. In their first meeting, Army had an abysmal shooting night and Navy somehow found their best shooting performance of the season, creating a kind of "perfect storm" and getting the win. This time, look for the Black Knights to hit more shots and limit the Midshipmen's looks.

Go Army! Beat Navy!!!

Think a trip to Annapolis is in order. The shooting exhibition put on last night is the perfect example of how good the Army Team can look when they are "on" and can be a very dangerous team at tournement time. Of course when they are shooting 30% instead of 60% we ask ourselves how did this team win any games.

Key takeaways last night. Terrible ball control - Had 2 times as many turnovers against than for. Cannot win doing that very long. Strange night on the boards - had nearly a 2-1 margin for in the rebound department. I cannot recall such dominance in that category ever. Finally, Lafayette has been a red hot team, playing very well especailly at home, this really says something to me. 4-1 down the stretch is not impossible at all and anything less than 3-2 would be disappointing. 3rd place and a home game in the League Tournement should be expectations for all fans - that would be only the second time in Army B-Ball history we open at home in the playoff.... just play to capability and good things will happen. PS - Lafayette beat Navy by 23 last Saturday. Payback time in Annapolis !
