Army Black Knights Lose Heartbreaker Road Game to NJIT

The Black Knights appeared to be heading to a good road victory leading by 12 with just over 3 minutes remaining. Then the wheels fell off as NJIT execute a relentless attacking press, forcing turnovers and getting easy baskets, pulling out a last second 69-67 win.

Army faces another tough opponent in Maine this Friday for a much needed home game to try and get back on track.

There was no excuse for this loss. We completely melted down and lost our poise. We will face this full press again if we have a late lead. Hopefully, we learned something !

Agreed...no excuse. Definitely exposed some areas to shore up, confident that lessons were learned. Conference play will be here in less than a month so not many more opportunities to make adjustments.
