and closure list .... and plans are for USMAPs to move up to West
Point. The big problem was initially that when the BRAC was
initially published, there was no funding to move the prep school up
to West Point - just the directive that it would move.

We just put up this new board dedicated to the Army Black Knights of the Diamond. This has been one of the most successful programs at West Point over the past few years; it is a program that warrants discussion.

We look forward to this becoming an active community.

There has been a big recall of many brands of cat and dog food, because many cats and dogs have become seriously ill, and in some cases fatally so with kidney trouble from the food they were given. Here is a link where you can read the list of the recalled brands.

ESPN piece on Army & Maggie Dixon

I was just watching SportsCenter and they did a beautiful piece on the Army Women's team. Maggie Dixon had hired veteran coach Dave Magarity as an assistant in 2005. Magarity had been at Marist for 23 years and then worked in the MAAC offices.

After her sudden death last April he turned down an offer to become an NBA scout to return to coach the team. The ESPN piece was very poignant about the bond among the team, Magarity and Dixon. What an impact she must have had to generate such respect after only one year.

Story didn't have a happy ending as Army lost in the Conference Tournament after a 20+ win season and will probably be on the outside looking in tonight when the NCAA field is named. Hope they receive at least a WNIT bid.

Army's Andrew Locke selected to NA4 Rugby team US

I've been getting frustrated by the number of slow page loads and web server errors I've been getting here.

It's pretty irritating to spend time composing a thoughtful post and then having to wait through several attempts to actually get the message posted...assuming that hitting the back button gets your message back. I've lost a few posts that way, too.

Is anyone else's experience like mine? I doubt it's an issue with my internet connection since I visit a number of other boards with no probs at all.

Great season so far with lots of youth and some very exciting games.

You can check out the Black Knights' game against the Middies today at noon EST on ESPNU. This is a big game for the Black Knights. Not only is it Navy, but it is a chance to move above .500 in Patriot League play.

The team is off to their best start in a very long time, having already won 12 games, and sho currently ride a 2 game winning streak.

The team has been able to get it all together this season.

If you get a chance, check out the game today.

But our Basktball team is 5-2, already equaling their win total from last year. They even played undefeated Missouri tough. Looks like Crews is building a good program over there. Great to see. Will definitely be following them through the season.
